Southern Maryland Assocation of REALTORS® Technology Services
The Southern Maryland Association of REALTORS has a full time technology consultant on staff. Steuart Bowling, who for years acted as the service representative for PRC Realty Systems and Interealty Corp., is now working directly for SMAR.
Technology services are available to all our members at reduced rates. Service will also be extended to member's home or personal PC's (this includes family members of our REALTOR members and Affiliates), and YES--we do housecalls!
Since SMARTS is a service to our members, the emphasis is on service, and not revenue. All revenue goes to the Southern Maryland Association of REALTORS, and helps keep your dues low. Support you Association, and get experienced help at reduced prices!

Light Hardware repair, upgrade or replacement (drives, RAM, peripheral cards).

Prices:
House calls & Office visits: $45 for first hour. $35 per additional hour.
Depot Service (You bring the hardware to SMAR): $25 per hour.
Web Sites
SMAR is working with Bay Media Services, Inc. to develop site products for our members. The relationship with Bay Media is new and the products are not ready for the membership just yet. We aslo actively encourage our members to take advantage of web sites or pages available through their respective brokerages. SMARTS also offers free consultation about other web site products and how to best leverage the tools they offer to maximize your web exposure. Remember: The goal is marketing. Websites are only part of the solution.
Web Pages
Prospective buyers viewing this website can access a searchable roster of our membership. When a member's name is selected from the roster, a page will appear providing the prospect with basic contact information. Our members can enhance this information with additional text, images, and links. Think of it as replacing a business card with a color brochure. Use the enhanced page to stand out from the rest. Use the page to point prospects to your existing web sites. Web pages are a wonderful low-cost way for new
members to gain a presence on the web. You will also benefit from free promotional activities as SMAR actively promotes this site to our members and the public.
DSL Ready Facilities
The Southern Maryland Association of REALTORS® offices in Hughesville have several rooms for rent that have recently been equipt with DSL ports. Both the Graham and Hamilton rooms now have live DSL access, making them ideal for your company's training needs.
