Privacy Policy

The privacy policy of the Southern Maryland Association of REALTORS® is currently under review. Changes will be posted as they occur. The following offers a general idea of the policy's goals:

Member name, address (both home and office),and company affiliation information is sold to members and non members in the form of mailing labels and rosters. In addition, SMAR has occasionally published member directories that include office telephone and fax numbers intended for the use of our members. With the advent of the "do not call" legislation, these practices are currently under review. SMAR does not sell labels or rosters that include telephone numbers.

Data concerning members who purchase items from SMAR via our website (Realtor Store, SMAR Websites by VREO, SMAR enhanced member site profiles, dues payments, seminars, continuing education, training, SMAR website ads, SMAR website links, or other misc purchases) will not be shared with any parties other than those neccessary to complete the transaction and deliver the product or service. Credit Card purchases are secured by the NAR e-commerce system. 

Information concerning grievances, requests for mediation or arbitration, and complaints filed by or against our members will be held confidential and disclosed only to those parties neccessary to resolve the issue.
