Be Alert: Health Insurance Scam Is Targeting NAR Members

WASHINGTON -- The National Association of REALTORS® is currently investigating reports of an unauthorized third-party posing as NAR and attempting to fraudulently sell our members health insurance.

If you receive a text message or phone call offering health insurance from NAR, please do not respond or provide any personal or financial information.

Please remember, the National Association of REALTORS® will never contact you by phone or text to solicit personal or financial information, or to sell any product or service.

Who should I contact if I experience this scam?

Please report any unsolicited communications from anyone claiming to be NAR or using the REALTOR® trademarks to fraudulently sell you an insurance product at [email protected](link sends e-mail). NAR has created this dedicated inbox to gather member reports of this scam, as part of NAR's ongoing efforts to investigate the matter. Please note that the inbox is not monitored and members will not receive an individual response.

If you have been affected, we encourage you to report this scam to the Federal Trade Commission(link is external), the Internet Crime Complaint Center(link is external), and the State Consumer Protection Offices(link is external).

What has NAR done to stop this?

The National Association of REALTORS® has taken steps to identify the entities behind the scam and to protect our members and trademarks. We continue to investigate the matter in an effort to stop this scam from continuing to be perpetrated on NAR members.
